報告簡介：
Data breaches in healthcare have become a substantial concern in recent years, and cause millions of dollars in financial losses each year. However, an obstacle to studying data breaches in healthcare is the lack of suitable statistical approaches. We develop a novel multivariate frequency-severity framework to analyze breach frequency and the number of affected individuals at the state level. We discover a positive nonlinear dependence between the transformed frequency and the log-transformed numbers of affected individuals (i.e., severity). Both the in-sample and out-of-sample studies show that the proposed multivariate frequency-severity model that accommodates non-linear dependence has satisfactory fitting and prediction performances.
報告人簡介：
趙鵬，江蘇師范大學(xué)教授、副校長。主要從事可靠性統(tǒng)計和網(wǎng)絡(luò)可靠性等領(lǐng)域的研究工作。先后入選基金委國家優(yōu)青項目、杰青項目。擔(dān)任期刊Commun. Stat.副主編（AE）、《應(yīng)用概率統(tǒng)計》《數(shù)理統(tǒng)計與管理》編委。曾獲江蘇省“雙創(chuàng)人才”、江蘇省數(shù)學(xué)成就獎、江蘇省教學(xué)成果一等獎（第一完成人）等。擔(dān)任中國現(xiàn)場統(tǒng)計研究會理事、大數(shù)據(jù)統(tǒng)計分會副理事長、全國工業(yè)統(tǒng)計教學(xué)研究會常務(wù)理事、青年統(tǒng)計學(xué)家協(xié)會副會長、中國數(shù)學(xué)會概率統(tǒng)計分會常務(wù)理事等。
