Self-orthogonal codes have been less studied because they are theoretically harder to formulate than self-dual codes. Kim and Choi (2022) proposed a method to construct self-orthogonal codes from non-self-orthogonal codes and introduced the concept of self-orthogonal embedding. In this talk, we explain this concept and describe the best possible minimum weights of binary self-orthogonal codes when the dimension is at most 7.

Jon-Lark Kim 是韓國(guó)西江大學(xué)教授,國(guó)際著名的代數(shù)編碼與組合論專家,曾獲國(guó)際組合數(shù)學(xué)及其應(yīng)用協(xié)會(huì)頒發(fā)的 Kirkman 獎(jiǎng)。目前已在信息論領(lǐng)域 Top 期刊IEEE Transaction on Information Theory和組合數(shù)學(xué)頂級(jí)期刊J. Combinatorial Theory Ser. A等國(guó)際權(quán)威期刊上發(fā)表 100余篇學(xué)術(shù)論文,在國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議上發(fā)表論文20余篇,主持過(guò)多項(xiàng)國(guó)家重大項(xiàng)目,獲得多項(xiàng)國(guó)家發(fā)明專利,目前擔(dān)任Designs, Codes and Cryptography等多個(gè)國(guó)際權(quán)威期刊的編委會(huì)成員。
