Connected, cooperative and automated mobility (CCAM) will potentially play an important role in creating safer, more efficient and comfortable transportation systems. However, in many cases, trust between human road users and the automated vehicles are not at a satisfactory degree. Interaction-aware autonomous driving (IAAD) is a rapidly growing field of research that focuses on the development of autonomous vehicles (AVs) that are capable of interacting safely and efficiently with human road users. This is a challenging task, as it requires the AV to be able to understand and predict the behaviour of human road users. In this presentation, an overview of some key technologies in IAAD including interaction modeling, encompassing cognitive methods, machine-learning approaches, game-theoretic methods and studies at University of Glasgow in this field will be presented.

Dr. Chongfeng Wei (魏沖鋒), 格拉斯哥大學副教授, 英國高等教育協會會士,英國EPSRC 機器人與智能系統協會會員,任IEEE TITS, IEEE TIV, IEEE TVT, and Frontiers in Robotics and AI 副主編。魏博士領導格拉斯哥大學交互式智能車輛及移動機器人團隊,課題組研究主要集中在人類啟發的網聯自動駕駛車輛,以及智能機械系統的動力學及控制。魏博士發表學術論文90余篇,獲第二屆IEEE人機系統會議、第六屆IFToMM機器人機構設計學術會議最佳論文獎、第26屆IAVSD車輛系統動力學會議最佳學術海報獎等獎項。
