報告人簡介：
Noel White教授是國際著名礦床學家和礦床勘探學家，是淺成低溫熱液型貴金屬礦床成礦理論和成礦模式的主要奠基人。現任合肥工業(yè)大學資源與環(huán)境工程學院礦床成因與勘查技術研究中心主任，曾擔任世界上最大的礦業(yè)公司（BHP礦業(yè)公司）的總工程師。直接領導和參與了環(huán)太平洋成礦帶、澳大利亞南澳及西澳及中國云南等多個大型-超大型礦床和勘探與發(fā)現，為全球礦床學研究和礦產資源勘探作出了領導性的杰出貢獻。他是國際經濟地質學家協(xié)會的主要負責人之一，擔任多個國際學術期刊的副主編和編委，在世界50余個國家或地區(qū)的大學進行過講學和教學活動，在國際主流專業(yè)期刊上發(fā)表學術論文近60余篇。
